Google Antigravity App 2.16.0

Changelog: Windows Subsystem for Linux, Office attachments, and live subagent cards

Connect to a Windows Subsystem for Linux distribution from Application Settings, and drop Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files straight into a prompt. Subagents now appear as live cards you can follow and stop while they work. This release also adds right-click copy and save for images.

Improvements(12)

• Added a Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) section to Application Settings on Windows, so you can connect to an installed WSL distribution or switch back to your local Windows environment. When connected, the title bar shows the active distribution name.
• You can now attach Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to a prompt by dragging and dropping them into the message box, and Gemini models read them natively instead of falling back to opening the stored file.
• Subagent invocations now appear as dedicated cards in the conversation stream with live running, waiting, and completed status, a hover control to stop a running subagent, and one-click navigation to its conversation in the side pane.
• Prompt actions in interactive widgets and HTML artifacts now fill in and focus the message box instead of sending automatically, so you can review or edit the prompt before submitting it.
• Right-click an image in an attachment, a preview modal, or an earlier message to Copy Image or Save Image.
• SVG images can now be copied to the clipboard and pasted into other applications.
• The loading indicator now shows what the agent is doing while it prepares a response, including tool initialization progress and a live countdown with attempt count when a model request is retried.
• The timestamp in the agent's message footer now shows when the response finished rather than when it started, matching the duration shown on long-running turns.
• Application keyboard shortcuts now take priority over web previews, so shortcuts keep working while a preview has focus.
• The Confirm Undo dialog now keeps the file list at a fixed size and scrolls it in place, so Confirm and Cancel stay visible when reverting many files.
• Inline pills and icons inside markdown headings now scale with the heading's size and weight instead of rendering small.
• Discovering skills and other customizations is now dramatically faster on large projects and network-mounted folders, cutting a startup scan that previously took over a minute to under a second.

Fixes(15)

• Fixed an issue where browser sign-in could fail permanently if the app disconnected, reloaded, or the computer went to sleep while you were completing sign-in in your browser.
• Fixed an issue where expired or rejected enterprise sign-in credentials stayed cached, leaving the app in a state you could not sign back in from.
• Fixed an issue where web search returned no summary when the search summarizer used a reasoning model.
• Fixed an issue where reopening an older conversation could re-apply that conversation's earlier file edits to your project and overwrite newer work.
• Fixed an issue where a custom icon set on a skill did not appear in the slash command menu, context pills, or step renderers.
• Fixed an issue where wide markdown tables could bleed outside a pinned message or show through behind it while scrolling.
• Fixed an issue where enlarging an image attached to a restored draft showed a broken image.
• Fixed an issue where the Narrow conversation width setting silently fell back to the default width.
• Fixed an issue where saving images and other media from a conversation could fail.
• Fixed an issue where a "No Models Available" error could flash briefly right after sign-in while models were still loading.
• Fixed an issue where screen readers did not announce the name, selected value, or options of dropdown menus in Settings.
• Fixed an issue where icons and logos across menus, toolbars, and the sidebar could render blank or lose their color gradients.
• Fixed an issue where the conversation history truncation notice appeared at the bottom of the chat instead of at the point where earlier messages were cleared.
• Fixed an issue where typing @file: did not show project file suggestions until you typed another character.
• Fixed an issue where choosing Paste from the message box's right-click menu did not paste.
