Breaking-change highlights
- Fixed an issue where renamed conversations did not show up when you searched for their new name.
Changelog: Redesigned side panel, /compact, and model choice for automations
Launch the updated side panel from the overview button during an active conversation, use /compact command for long conversations, and you can now choose a specific model for your automations.
Improvements(13)
- The side panel has a new design, with an overview panel that gathers the artifacts, changed files, links, and uploads from the current conversation in one place.
- You can now type /compact to summarize a long conversation so far and free up room for the agent to keep working.
- You can now pick Flash Lite, Flash, or Pro for an automation when you create or edit it. New automations still start on Flash.
- Press Cmd+Shift+M on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+M on Windows and Linux to maximize the side panel. A maximized panel now slides over the conversation instead of squeezing it.
- Display Options now has separate Sort Conversations and Sort Projects menus when you group by project. Projects and the Pinned section can each be sorted by Last Updated, Last Prompt, or Custom Order.
- A new Auto Pin option in Display Options pins a conversation whenever you send it a message. It is off by default.
- If you use Antigravity with your own Google Cloud project through Vertex AI, the model picker now hides third-party models your project cannot use. With Application Default Credentials sign-in, the picker also offers Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5.5 when your project has access to them.
- When your sign-in expires during a session, Antigravity now shows an Authentication expired notice with a Log back in button.
- The Review permissions dialog now wraps long commands and paths, so you can read every permission in full before you turn on a plugin or automation.
- In the full-screen viewer, the comma and period keys now step a video back or forward one frame, and double-clicking an image zooms in on the spot under the pointer.
- Press Cmd+Shift+V on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+V on Windows and Linux to paste plain text into the message box.
- Mark All as Read is now available from the command palette whenever you have unread conversations.
- In split view, narrow panes now show their toolbar only when focused, so conversation titles have more room. Hover over a pane to see its toolbar.
